Ford India launches its 2012 Fiesta line up with new base variants for petrol & diesel models. The new cut price Ambiente variant is priced at Rs 7.23 lakh for the petrol & Rs 8.99 for the diesel variant (ex showroom Delhi).
Ford has also simplified the Fiesta line up that starts with Ambiente, Style & Titanium + variants. The petrol is now available with Ambiente, Style, Style (AT), Titanium & Titanium (AT), & the diesel in Ambiente, Style & Titanium + variants.
Priced aggressively, the Ambiente variant features EPAS, driver airbag, driver seat height adjust, ABS, power mirrors, turn indicators on ORVM, tilt steering, guide me home headlamp, front seatbelt height adjuster & adjustable rear headrests.
In addition to all these features, the top end Titanium+ will have cruise control, rear park assist, Bluetooth voice control, auto power fold mirrors, reverse parking sensor & chrome front grille � features only seen in higher segment vehicles. The Powershift Automatic Titatnium+ variant will additionally have leather seats, which give a plush feel to the amazing ride experience.
Commenting on the launch of Fiesta Ambiente, Ford India President & Managing Director Michael Boneham said the company is trying to respond to changing market dynamics & the evolving needs of its customers in India.
The Fiesta Ambiente will compete with the likes of Honda City & Hyundai Verna, which are priced between Rs 6.99 lakh & Rs 10.30 lakh (ex showroom Delhi), respectively.
Last month, the company had launched two automatic variants of the petrol Fiesta, priced at Rs 8.99 lakh & Rs 9.70 lakh (ex showroom Delhi).
