The look of the hood on the Nissan 350Z has a Z themed retro styled power dome. There is an updated version of the 3,5 liter engine V6 under the hood, which includes a higher rev limit and compression ratio. A twin ram air intake and variable exhaust camshaft timing are also updated features of this engine.

It consists of 2 short ram air intakes with powder coated silver tubes, 2 K & N high flow air filters and 2 powder coated steel heat shields.

The revised 3,5 liter DOHC, all aluminum V6 engine now produces 3 hundred and 6 horse power at 6.800 rpm and 268 lb-ft of torque at 4.800 rpm with more than 90 percent of the torque available between 2.000 and 7.000 rpm.

 

This enables the Nissan 350Z to rocket out from 0 to 60 mph in just 5,4 seconds.
This potent and incredible engine is mated to either a standard six speed close ratio shifter that gives you a feeling of being "one with the car" or an optional five speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching, which provides smooth downshifting by automatically blipping the throttle.

The Nissan 350Z rides on 18 X 8 in front and 18 X 9 in rear. Rear Bridgestone Pontenza REO50A high performance tires for enhanced traction and a smooth ride. The Nissan 350Z roadster features a power operated soft top with a heated glass rear window that raises and lowers in just 20 seconds and unlike many other convertibles, the top stows compactly under a lightweight powered tonneau cover completely hiding the top when down. 




The 3 lock single latch system was created to give a more secure seal while also making the opening and closing process easier.

A key component to reducing interior noise is a tempered glass wind deflector located between the seats which directs wind out and over the cabin. Seatbelt fasteners were also added to help keep seatbelts from flapping in the wind. As a result, the Nissan 350Z is among the leading competitors for low interior noise with the top down.
