Named after the father of Ferrari, The Enzo was released as a tribute to the greatest icon in automotive history. Since production first began, Enzo Ferrari was the man behind every car released from the factory. However, since his recent death, the Enzo had been produced in an attempt to conform exactly to what Enzo would have produced had he been still alive. The designers had accomplished all that and more.
The Enzo Ferrari enjoys a unique advantage: it benefits from an intense, continuous transfer of technology generated by the long list of Ferrari successes in Formula 1 over the years.

Some people admire the look of Ferrari ,while others dread it. What needs to be understood though is that this car serves one purpose only which is to live up to the reputation of being the ultimate Ferrari ever produced. So what does that mean? Performance, performance and more performance.
The first car Enzo Ferrari built under his own name was a racing car, dubbed the 125S. It won in only the second race it was entered in which was a clear sign of many great things to come for the Maranello based firm.

In those early years Ferrari focused both on sports car racing and single seater racing, both with success. These winning machines might have looked very differently on the outside but under the thin skin many parts were the same, especially the engines. Ferrari built road cars as well but they were nothing more than de-tuned race cars.
Stylists and engineers created visual and technological links with the world of Formula 1 in a way never before attempted in a true road car. Rather than expressing a road car for the track, the Enzo expresses racing technology for all roads.
