Dodge planning to replace distinctive Cross-hair Grille Posted: 25 Feb 2011 08:30 AM PST Dodge has been using the same distinctive cross-hair grille on all their cars and trucks for the last 20 years and now the company have decided that its time for a change.
Dodge brand CEO, Ralph Gilles has stated that the tough and muscular Cross-hair front Grille gives the brand a very distinct look and feel but as with everything, things change and so the company will be phasing out the cross-hair on all of Dodge’s existing models. According to Gilles,
The Ram brand will be retaining the cross-hair grill, as it works perfectly for the RAM Trucks. As of right now there is no set time frame, or any information as to what the new front ends will look like, so we will just have to wait and see what Dodge is going to come up with. Fan Recreates Bullitt Car Chase Scene in 1/32 Scale: Video Posted: 25 Feb 2011 06:30 AM PST The classic movie – Bullitt starring Steve McQueen is often regarded as having the best car chase scene ever filmed. McQueen drives a 1968 Ford Mustang fastback and is chased by 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. The car chase lasts around ten minutes and it was one of the first fast action car scenes to have audiences on the edge of their seats. There have been many other great car chases over the years but this one will always be remembered as one of the greats. A fan of the classic movie is currently trying to recreated the famous car chase but using 1/32 scale models. The project is still in progress and the creator (Steve) has released this short trailer to wet our appetites of whats to come.
By using stop motion animation Steve’s goal is to have the project done by the end of the year. This is a massive undertaking considering he’s making all the buildings and street scenery from scratch. His attention to detail is astonishing and we simply can’t wait to see the finished product.
